I'm a registered nurse practising in Singapore since 9 April 201017 years in nursing.

I trained and grew through nine years at Singapore General Hospital, working across the multidisciplinary ward but spending most of those years with oncology patients — the people for whom every day mattered and every detail counted. It's also where I trained in Wound, Ostomy and Continence (WOC) nursing, an advanced specialty I've drawn on ever since — from post-surgical recovery and stoma care to the chronic-wound and gut-integrity work that connects directly to the supplement and nutrition protocols I build today. From SGH I moved into private oncology for seven-plus years. Most recently, under one umbrella group, I built a homecare nursing practice during COVID — supporting palliative and chronically ill patients in their own homes for over two years — and spent another two-plus years in a rheumatology setting, walking alongside patients living with auto-immune conditions through the long, often invisible work of staying functional.

Across all of those rooms — tertiary hospital wards, oncology day-units, palliative homecare, rheumatology clinics — I kept noticing the same gap, again and again. The moment patients went home, the support stopped. Diet became a guessing game. Supplements were either too generic or too aggressive. The clinical world gave them the diagnosis. Nobody was giving them a protocol they could actually live with.

So I trained for that gap.

Today I bring Traditional Chinese Medicine skills, a Certified Myofascial Therapy qualification, and training through Dr. Berg's Keto & Intermittent Fasting Coach programme alongside my nursing licence — combining Western clinical reasoning with TCM's whole-system view of the body, hands-on bodywork that releases the fascia where chronic tension, pain and movement restriction quietly accumulate, and an evidence-based framework for metabolic flexibility, fasting and recovery. Together, those modalities have shaped how I think about inflammation, energy, recovery and the way small daily inputs compound into long-term health.

Those years — especially the homecare and rheumatology ones — grounded everything I do now. When you've sat with families navigating advanced illness, watching what diet, stress, sleep and supplementation can and can't change once the body is already in crisis, you become almost obsessive about a single question: what would I do differently, ten years earlier, to help someone avoid this room entirely?

The work that made it personal

In February 2025, my father was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) — a cancer with deep roots in our community here in Asia. Watching him face an aggressive course of radiation and chemotherapy, I did what every nurse-daughter would do: I built him a protocol. A daily plan of clinical nutrition, evidence-based supplementation and supportive routines designed to work alongside his oncology team's treatment — not replace it. The brief was simple: keep him eating, keep his strength up, and protect what we could of his quality of life through the hardest months.

He completed treatment in June 2025 and came through with markedly fewer of the side effects his medical team had braced him for. Today he is in remission — and, somewhat astonishingly to both of us, living a healthier life than before his diagnosis. None of this is a substitute for the oncologists and nurses who saved his life. They did. But that experience left me with a question that's now central to my work: if a thoughtful nutrition and supplement plan could ease one man's path through cancer, what could it do for the people sitting next to me on the train every morning who are still well — and want to stay that way?

That's the work I do now.

Wellness & longevity, full-time

My current practice sits squarely in the longevity and healthspan space — the science of how we age well, not just long. That means looking at cellular ageing markers, NAD⁺ pathways, oxidative stress, mitochondrial function and the small daily decisions that compound across decades. Whether the goal is recovering from a hard diagnosis, optimising a high-performance career, or simply staying sharp and mobile into your 70s and beyond — the foundation is the same: a protocol calibrated to your biology, not someone else's blueprint.

I still take on select nursing cases on referral, but the bulk of my work today goes into prevention — building protocols that help people stay out of the hospital bed in the first place. The work I'm proudest of sits quietly: helping cancer patients rebuild appetite during treatment, guiding auto-immune clients through elimination protocols, building longevity routines for families who want to stay well together — and designing supplement and nutrition plans that respect both the condition and the life.

The Wellness Protocol grew out of that practice. Every brand I carry — eimele, Vida Glow, SRW Laboratories, TheroNomic, Amilera, BEE+ Manuka, Triple ProBio and Natureday — was vetted personally before it joined the shelf. The Nalagenetics DNA tests I offer aren't a gimmick; they're the same genetic-insight tool I use when my own clients ask, "Jamie, but is this right for my body?"

Let's start a conversation

Whether it's a complex case, a longevity plan, or just a question about which supplement actually fits — I'd rather you ask than guess.
